Deposits, payment deadlines, cancellations and what happens when the weather does not cooperate.
Before you pay a deposit
Read this part properly.
Two things catch people out, so they are worth stating plainly here: the 30% deposit is non-refundable, and skiing days lost to weather once the tour has started are not refunded. Everything else is detail.
Weather and snow conditions
Our freeride skiing tours depend on favourable weather and snow conditions, both for safety and for the quality of the skiing.
In the event of inadequate snow cover, extreme weather, or high avalanche danger, we reserve the right to cancel the tour for the safety and well-being of our guests and guides.
Booking and availability
A 30% deposit is required to book the tour.
The final payment is due within the last 40 days before the tour start date.
It is the customer's responsibility to contact us about available dates when applying a retained deposit to a future tour. Availability is subject to space and guide availability, and a retained deposit can only be applied to a tour of equal or greater value than the cancelled one.
If we cancel for conditions
If the tour is cancelled because of the conditions described above, we retain 30% of the total payment as a non-refundable deposit.
That retained amount can be applied to a future tour within the same season or either of the next two seasons.
You must tell us that you intend to use the retained deposit within a reasonable time after the cancellation. If it is not used to book a future tour within that two-season window it expires and is forfeited.
If you cancel
Cancelling more than 40 days before the start date: the final payment is refunded, excluding the non-refundable 30% deposit.
Cancelling within the last 40 days before the start date: the final payment is not refunded.
Transferability
A retained deposit is non-transferable to another customer unless we specifically approve it under exceptional circumstances.
A refunded final payment is likewise non-transferable unless specifically approved.
Missed skiing days
If one or more skiing days are lost after the tour has started — because of weather, avalanche danger, technical problems or other safety concerns — no refund or partial refund is provided.
In that situation we will make every effort to provide alternative activities for the affected days. What those are is decided together with the group, taking account of their interests and of safety.
Programme changes
Due to unforeseeable events such as bad weather and general safety, changes to the programme are possible. Those decisions are made on site by the responsible guide.
Travel arrangements
We do not take responsibility for ticket cancellations or changes to travel arrangements made by you or by third-party booking platforms, whether caused by unforeseen circumstances, adverse weather, or any other situation described in these conditions.
You are solely responsible for your own travel arrangements to and from the airport.

Also worth knowing
Insurance is on you.
Travel insurance is not included in the tour price and it is not optional. It needs to cover off-piste skiing and mountain rescue. We will ask you to confirm you have it before the tour starts.
- Travel insurance covering off-piste skiing and rescue is required
- Airline tickets and airport taxes are not included
- Hotels or transfers outside the tour dates are not included
- Bring your own skis, boots, skins and poles; avalanche kit is provided
